| Slide-on mating is used where a quick mating and unmating action
is desired, or where mating and unmating forces must be kept to
a minimum. They are mated with a straight push, and mating is maintained only
by the force exerted on the jack by the spring fingers of the plug.
Connectors with slide-on mating are typically used in rack-and-panel
or blind-mate applications that require multiple connectors to be
mated at the same time. |
